I'm making plans to run some workshops in the near future and this evening I headed back to a location I'd found last year in the Fintry Hills. With the sun now setting further north, I knew it would be sidelighting the hillside, highlighting the grooves and ridges that show the volcanic history of these hills. I feel like you can almost imagine the lava pouring down the slopes and hardening into the shapes we see today. I like how the grasses in the foreground and the scots pine and flowering gorse in the middle ground give added interest and add depth to the image. I will definitely be coming back here.
